Bollywood actress Bipasha Basu, who is set to make her Hollywood debut opposite Josh Hartnett in the movie Singularity was apparently not sure about the movie because of her busy Bollywood schedule. ........
The actress had a tight schedule, with her dates already being allotted to Bollywood films. Director of the movie, was considering dropping the actress as she could not give proper time for the training required by the movie.
Singularity is a movie based on Anglo-Maratha war and as the theme suggests, it required Bipasha to do a lot of intense training of about a month to fit into her character. The actress also had to accommodate her dates for Abbas-Mustan directed movie Players which is slated for a February release. She had to cut back to Goa within a week, when the other actors were present in Australia for over a month to shoot the movie. Explaining how everyone went ahead of her in terms of preparation, the Bengali actress quips that the rest of the cast had managed to learn horse riding by the time she came back from her Players shoot. The actress had a tight schedule, with her dates already being allotted to Bollywood films. As the movie depicts the story of the battle, there were a lot of fight scenes. Naturally, Bipasha had to some hair raising stunts as she is an important part of the film. She essays the character of a Maratha Fighter Tulaja Naik, for which she had to do mountain scaling and horse riding apart from taking part in intense battle scenes.
Unlike other Bollywood actresses, Bipasha is happy with a single Hollywood film. She insists that she has a lot of work in Bollywood coming up, so devoting time for Hollywood is not possible for her. The risk factor about starting a Hollywood career right from the scratch also worries the actress. For now, her Hollywood career completely hinges on the success of Singularity.
