Nate Berkus is leaving the tough world of daytime television next year.
On Friday, it was revealed that “The Nate Berkus Show” was not renewed for the 2012-2013 television season.
“After
careful consideration, we have decided that ‘The Nate Berkus Show’ will
not return for a third season in the fall,” Sony and Harpo said in a
joint statement released to Access Hollywood on Friday. “We are grateful
for the hard work and heart that Nate, [executive producer] Corin
Nelson and their entire team have poured into the show, and we’re very
proud of what they’ve delivered.”
Nate’s
show, which focuses on interior design and features interviews with
celebrity guests, is currently in its second season – now, its last.
Reacting to the news, Nate said he was pleased with the product his team has put on television.
“I’m
incredibly proud of my hard working and talented staff, and proud of
the show we were able to produce every day,” he said in a statement.
Nate
was one of several stars, including Dr. Mehmet Oz, Dr. Phil McGraw and
Rachael Ray who got their own shows after an endorsement from Oprah
Winfrey.
