'Aadukalam' bags honour at CIFF



        After unconditional a National Awards, it was time for ‘Aadukalam’ on Thursday to make a participation felt during a Chennai International Film Festival (CIFF).

The Vetrimaaran-directed Dhanush starrer was comparison as a best film during CIFF, amid outrageous acclaim from a audience.

Vimal starrer ‘Vaagai Sooda Vaa’, destined by Sargunam of ‘Kalavani’ fame, bagged a second prize, while Suseenthiran’s ‘Azhagarsamiyin Kudhirai’, starring Appu Kutty and Saranya Mohan, won a jury’s’ special award.

Kadhiresan, a writer of ‘Aadukalam’ was presented with Rs 2 lakh and Vetrimaaran with Rs 1 lakh. The writer of ‘Vaagai Sooda Vaa’ Muruganandam and a executive were presented with Rs 1 lakh each.

CIFF, that started final week, screened many general films, besides holding a apart foe territory for Tamil movies. ‘Aadukalam’ was screened on 18 December.
