Fast And Furious Six Will Need A Seventh

FAST AND FURIOUS 5′s final scenes (along with it’s mega box-office takings) made sure a sixth entry would almost be a certainty.............
Now one of the franchises stars and producers, Vin Diesel, has confirmed not only this, but also a seventh film will be needed to complete the story.

With the success of this last one, and the inclusion of so many characters, and the broadening of scope, when we were sitting down to figure out what would fit into the real estate of number six, we didn’t have enough space. We have to pay off this story, we have to service all of these character relationships, and when we started mapping all that out it just went beyond 110 pages. The studio said, ‘You can’t fit all that story in one damn movie!’

Screenwriter Chris Morgan is currently putting the finishing touches to the script, which will now be split into two features, much to the studios delight. Director Justin Lin is also expected to return to the franchise. The last instalment changed it’s genre format from the series’ dazzling fast car chases to a heist/getaway film and received it’s best reviews yet.
